The Neighbors: The Faulfenza
Say fall-FEHN-zah (rhymes with credenza. Loosely.)

The Faulfenza were the subject of my first novel, and this is some cause for regret, for that first sprawling work is a tome that opens and closes the history book on the Faulfenza, relegating any newer characters to minor roles. But that one book still provided me with enough color and romance to draw and dream about these gentle people for some time to come. They are dancers and innocents, the Faulfenza, deeply spiritual. They have the gift of fire, one that comes from within and warms their hands to brilliant light. They are brightly marked in the colors of flame, smoke and ash. They may not be the most intense of my creations, but they offer a pleasant counterpoint to the action.

Perhaps, one day, I'll trim and tighten that novel to an acceptable size. Until then, enjoy the Faulfenza's occasional visits.
