How mysterious and canny the Meranon are! They speciate completely to the planets they settle on, so completely that I can't even tell if they're a fantasy race or a science fiction one! At any one time, the Meranon have been seated in the Compass Rose universe, the Failing Gates and even Paradox... but they don't seem to belong anywhere. Or perhaps more accurately, they're so perfectly camouflaged I don't know where they came from!
Which is a pity, because such a gentle and lovely race they are. Parthenogenic, with unusually large eyes and pacific demeanors, they travel in search of true homes, settling here, there, everywhere and (following the example of their biology), try to truly fit in... to become a harmonious part of the environment. They go only where they're wanted (and suited), and very few places fail to welcome them.
I suspect the Meranon's biology will lend themselves well to telling stories about family and love, since they don't have the concept of needing other people to reproduce; reproduction is a private thing. So I wonder when they'll tell me where they're from, so I can explore these things with them.
