Say sah HAHR (sounds like 'safari').
They live in a habitat similar to that of the Pacific northwest. They have four ears to match their four sexes: incubator, neuter, and twin "producers," suppliers of sperm and egg. This system developed after predation and other disasters reduced their numbers to a point where adding variation to the reproduction process in any way was a necessity . . . for the Sahar, in keeping with the theme of Four, are only four feet tall or thereabouts, and they are often hunted by crueler beasts.
The Sahar are, thus far, the newest of my aliens, and the most shy. But they're beginning to pop up more frequently, and as I learn about them, so will you.
